Tenerife or Gran Canaria, Which is Best?

After spending time on both of the Canary Islands Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Visiting Places in Gran Canaria such as Playa Del Ingles, San Agustin, Maspalomas, Puerto De Mogan, Playa De Los Amadores, Puerto Rico, Anfi Del Mar, Meloneras and Maspalomas, The Maspalomas Sand Dunes, San Fernando Market and The Yumbo Centre, and visiting places in Tenerife such as Playa De Las Americas, Torviscas, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos. 1. Buenos Dias Lee. Your analogy is spot on! Couldn't agree more! 🤗 To all the viewers, I met Lee in person yesterday and he is a genuinely lovely person and I, personally, just want to suggest, if you haven't already, LIKE 👍 SUBSCRIBE, and click the BELL 🔔 for notifications. Follow #themacmaster on Instagram. I am positive you won't regret it. Bless you Lee for all your hard work. I can now take Tenerife back home and watch it on the big screen so I don't miss it SO much! 😎😍🏖️

  2. Gran Canaria is the best, it has everything, Tenerife is ok but the constant Cloudy weather is a pain in the backside

  3. Come on! GRAN CANARIA beats Tenerife!!! Gran Canaria has got much more different landscapes and much better beaches, no doubt

  4. Cool video and tx, lova of both sisters haha! 🙂 Guys, where would you recommend to relocate in CI? Warm in a winter (20s), modern and also nice nature, close to the beach and shops, safe and relatively inexpensive? Thanks a lot for all the help!!

  5. GC and Tenerife are both nice, beaches and mountains, lovely villages and cities. Fuerteventura and La Palma or Lanzarote are much more different I think. GC is very international, a lot of german speaking guests, Tenerife a bit more for English speaking guests. Best thing is just to visit both islands 💕🇮🇨👏🏼nice video 👏🏼👍bye from Germany

  6. Loved tenerife years ago when I went but always go to gran canaria now as get much better deals on holidays

  7. Palmitos Park definitely worth a visit and also the Cocodrilo Park. Tenerife best for younger generation, Lanzarote for older, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma good for walking trails, Fuerteventura best for wind surfing, Gomera for exclusive quiet holiday ( more expensive) All the islands good in their own way :o)

  8. I've been to Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. All in that order and I found Tenerife much more modern and a better overall experience. Albeit Gran Canaria is beautiful in it's own way, as is Lanzarote but I would return to Tenerife in a heartbeat 👍

  9. Gran Canary was the first island I visited (had a great holiday) With out a doubt though Tenerife is so much better and caters for all ages. Plus it's not as windy. Been several times to Playa las Americas.

  10. Just my thought. Been my opinion for years. If the first island you visit in your life is Gran Canaria, then it's Gran Canaria for life. My first island was Tenerife and I know the island better than my home capital Copenhagen where I am from (hard to believe…)… An island is an island, and as such people more or less know everybody. However, Tenerife has just the right size for you to blend in and become anonymous if that's what you are looking for. Like moving from a small village to the capital. Of course, the analogy here would be better if I was talking about La Gomera and Tenerife, but I am sure you get the picture. My mother came from Faroe Island in the North Atlantic with a population of roughly 40.000, and believe me, gossip travels with the speed of lightning and everybody knows someone who knows you… In Tenerife, the biggest of the canary islands, you can choose to live anonymous as in a big city like Copenhagen or London… These are thoughts for people who consider moving permanently to the Canary Islands. Finally, Tenerife got Teide, that's a one of a kind. I always tell my friends, and people who are interested, that you haven't truly experienced the magic of Tenerife if you haven't visit Teide* or Restaurante Familiar in El Medano. * The best part of visiting Teide is the road trip up there and taking in the scenery at the plateau at Teide. Taking the cablecar to the top is recommendable, but not necessary to experience the magic of Teide. The cablecar experience can be very touristic and cramped. Some people even get nausea and have breathing problems because of the altitude. Almost every time I am up there som elderly get sick and need help (always plenty of staff there to help out – they are used to these situations). So these are two reasons why you should think twice before going to the top of Teide with the cable car. Even some young and healthy people experience nausea and headache.

  11. Love gran canaria always go Puerto Rico superb nightlife but trying Tenerife in 4 weeks covid permitting must admit it's a bit windy but always sunny in Puerto rico

  12. All the islands are different. As you get older, you will fi d you want a smaller, quieter island. That's why I live on La isla bonita, the beautiful island, La Palma.

  13. Personally prefer Tenerife. Been to Tenerife 3 times as a family (between las Americas & los Cristianos ) and twice to Gran canaria (Puerto Rico- once as a family and this year as a couple). When in Gran canaria as a family we looked at flights to Tenerife too. Kids weren't amused we weren't in Tenerife 😂 Both fab islands but my heart is in Tenerife. Gran canaria water parks are rubbish too 😁 Have Tenerife booked as a family in August and Gran canaria as a couple in February again (Gran canaria is so much cheaper for holidays 🤷‍♀️😂)

  14. For all reading this, If you want black sandy beaches go to TF if you want better beaches, a big city, forests and villages go to GC, but if you want a Mars looking photo go to Lanzarote

  15. Good analogy Lee. It’s been nearly 20yrs since I visited GC on a girls holiday in my early 20s. Visited Tenerife for the 1st time in 2016 and was back last October. We might try GC on a spring/Oct school break in the future. Our love is Florida and where we go on holiday most years. Really enjoy your vlogs and quest for a cheap pint 🍺 😃

  16. Tenerife or Gran Canaria? The thing with the Canary islands is that they are all different from each other which is a good thing. It would be very boring if they were all too similar so I could never compare, and is the exact reason we change islands every winter holiday, to have something different. For me, nightlife on both is good depending on what you like. Yes there are more comedy acts around the Costa Adeje/Las Americas areas than anywhere else so Tenerife would win on that. Gran Canaria has amazing beaches so would win there. Then you have Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Lanzarote is an amazing island to drive around, and the most amazing landscape, as is Fuerteventura. Lanzarote is more volcanic, similar beaches to Tenerife whereas Fuerteventura has miles and miles of sandy beaches all round the island, again both very different. My thoughts are that if they were all similar you could then compare. As they are so different from each other it's impossible to compare like for like. My advice is go to them all regularly and enjoy them for what they offer, and that's because…..they're different. Tenerife is to you Lee what Alcudia in Majorca is to me, our first love so I get where you're coming from. And although we always make a point of going other places on the Spanish mainland, Benidorm (which has the best entertainment you can get anywhere including Costa Adeje), Torremolinos & Benalmadena as well as other places like Albufeira in Portugal, Protaras in Cyprus and Agios Nikolaos in Crete, Alcudia and Majorca in general will never be far from our thoughts.

  17. Tenerife is just a beautiful island! So sad to have arrived home sunday morning🤦🏼‍♂️. Surprised you havent thought of moving out there!

  18. Just saw your channel and I already love it you've been to loads of wonderful destinations that I've been to

  19. Gran Canaria has the best beaches. Who wants to lie on a black sandy beach on Tenerife. Gran Canaria all the way 😉

  20. Question not really answered, which is best? Corfu is my first love, but went to Las Americas in October and loved it, barely any mosquitoes. Never been to GC.

  21. im going benidorm at the begining of april ,how is the weather and how much is the drinks ,what do we need to look out for

  22. Hi , any chance you could review the best hotel jacaranda if you go to costa Adeje – we love your channel !!!

  23. Going by your vlog of Gran Canaria I Would say Tenerife is better. We were watching your vlog trying to spot familys with younger kids all we saw was the older population. As you say tenerife is more for familys. I do like the look of gc for the beaches but won't be going there any time soon sadly. Keep up the great vlogs 👌👍

  24. When you say Tenerife , you really should say North Tenerife or South Tenerife ….myself I've only been to Tenerife and Lanzarote ( multiple times for both btw ) ….it all depends what I was looking for , but if I wandered into a travel agent for a late cheapy , I'd go for any of the above !

  25. Hi MacMaster, I love your vlogs! I think Gran Canaria has better beaches than Tenerife but Tenerife's nightlife is much better. I would love it if you would do a vlog on Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. Back in the 90s it I remember it being a total party town when I stayed there, but I'd love to see if it's changed as I've heard people now refer to the island as "Lanzagrotty". It would be really interesting to see any changes 🤗

  26. TENERIFE is the best!! The Teide, Anaga, La Orotava, La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, Teno, El Médano, Los Cristianos….The paradise!!

  27. Sat a bit on the fence i think you did with your answer Lee.
But it's ok i'll let you.
Some of the best beaches seem to be in Gran Canaria
