Hike from La Culata to Roque Nublo. We walked along the well-marked paths, and spent about 4.5 hours on the tour, including breaks.
Roque Nublo is a volcanic rock on the island. It is 80 meters high and the top is 1813 meters above sea level. It is one of the island’s most famous landmarks, and is a protected natural monument.
Roque Nublo is the second highest peak on the island, after Pico de las Nieves in the same area.
For Gran Canaria indigenous Roque Nublo a sacred monument and a pillar of heaven. It served as a ritual place for sacrifice to the sun god.
Plan to spend about two hours to the starting point if you are driving by car.
